Telekia speciosa wordt ongeveer 150 tot 200 cm hoog. Het blad van Telekia speciosa is opvallend groot.Telekia speciosa staat het liefst op een licht tot halfbeschaduwde plaats in de border. Op voldoende vochthoudende grond kan Telekia speciosa ook in de zon staan
